That might work if it happens. I wonder why they didnt think about that in the first place for the other stations that have DLR.

Maybe because they almost caused WNEW's license to be revoked?<P ID="signature">______________

As the author of the item quoted, which came from a message on the New York Radio Message Board by proprietor Allan Sniffen, some thought:

* It's just a rumor at this point, according to Mr. Sniffen.

* As far as the "SITC" situation, the thought seems to be that time's passed for O&A. And CBS Radio could very well be desperate, depending on how DLR's ratings hold up (or don't) over time...

* It'd be a big shot back in the whole Stern/CBS feud, especially if they ditch DLR.

The interesting thought of an "over-air edited simulcast" of their XM could work, or not. O&A would be free to do their show, and wouldn't have to care about how bad they get...the over-air version could even be heavily excised, and they wouldn't mind, since they could keep plugging their uncensored version on XM.

I don't know if it's gonna happen or not, but we may have passed enough time for CBS...

If they are really pros...

They should be able to exercise some professional restraint and scale their stuff back a little if they have to in order to stay on the air.
