A good manager wouldn't have let them sit out their CBS contract doing nothing for 2 1/2 years. He would have said "keep the money" and negotiated a better deal somewhere else for them while they were still an item. They faded into obscurity for that time period. They then went to almost obscurity of XM Radio. Their big chance was coming back on 92.3... again, a better manager would have negotiated a way out of the XM contract so they wouldn't have done the "phone it in" show on 92.3.
They're not poor, that is for certain. But I'm sure they haven't had the type of impact that they wish they had. They are partly to blame for that, but so is their manager.
