Opie & Anthony intern wins the Daily News $100,000

According to O&A jsut before they cut out at 11, their intern Eric won the Daily News drawing for $100,000. The paper was embarrassed earlier this year when a wrongly published set of numbers had a large number of people winning $100K. The paper recinded the contest and had everyone send in their ticket for a drawing where one person would win $100K. Seems that they verified with the paper and Eric won the cash. Good going bro!!

I didn't hear the show and I know they got new interns... is the Eric you are referring to Sexbagel/Hawk/Erik? If so, he's the associate producer, not an intern.

And wouldn't that be "Good luck, bro"? Heh.

Nice job. I know he reads the site, so congrats.

Of course, what are the chances of two radio guys hitting big money? *stares at Megamillions in contempt*

EDIT:

I think the proper titles of everyone on the channel is the following... this is just a hunch...

Ben Sparks - Executive Producer of O&A
Earl Douglas - Executive Producer of R&F
"Martini" Steve C. - Production Director/Imaging for 202
Erik Nagel - Associate Producer of O&A
Harry "Elvis" - Associate Producer of R&F
"Than" - Production Assistant

I think some of the other interns are paid and they are either paid interns or production assistants.

You got Black Earl and Harry T right for Ron and Fez. O&A have a staff of 15, including interns. Ben is the boss of all of them, and then there's Erik, Steve, Travis, Nathaniel, Danny, at least 4 interns, and I don't know the rest. I want to say Mars but I think he works for the XM complex.

I somehow SERIOUSLY doubt Steve is under Ben. If anything, Ben and Steve are on the same managerial level, but with different duties. Ben takes care of showrunning, while Steve handles the production, audio, and bits for the show. Both are supervisors and act as hiring managers for the interns. When the interns were brought in for questioning last week, Opie asked Steve point blank how he questions them in interviews...

Mars does NOT work for the show. I believe he is an engineer for XM, a Next Generation Pete Johnson, if you will.

Erik was never an intern for the show - he was hired as a associate producer from Day 1. Travis, Than, Danny, etc. are interns or production assistants. Danny worked for Steve at Foundry which is how he got his gig. Travis or Than cornered Brother Joe and got their "in" that way.

Good call! I missed that it was sex bagel Eric that won. I thought it was one of the new interns at first until I listened to the replay.

Sex Bagel should check out the New England TV board. They seem to spit on the O&A marketing events hahahahaha!

Hawk, you're rich now, you are a FANCY PERSON!! You should have dumped those "salary" boys and grabbed a limo from the Medowlands!

Interns are actually given fire extinguishers on their first day to protect themselves from any flare-ups working with Steve.
