Opie makes a good point today??

I know that O&A catch a lot of crap on this board, and maybe they deserve some or most of it. However, today Opie had some great advice for the radio big wigs. I could not agree with him more when he said something along the lines of ''don't try to compete with the iPod". These radio stations going to a jukebox format, with no jocks are BORING. I love my XM, and my iPod, but I also like hearing a local jock talking about a song, or telling me what concerts are coming to town.

With the fast climb of iPods, I don't think it would be a good move. Aren't a good chunk of the Jack stations non-Jack now? iPod just jumped to the #3 seller of music. I think that instead of them competing against iPods they should do what they've avoided all along: Start listening to what the listeners want to hear instead of telling us what we want to hear and laughing at us telling us we don't know what we're talking about.
