What are your opinions on the station? Personally, I enjoy Frank-FM. I've always been a fan of the classic hits format. Sure, the format isn't anything innovative and new to the area. We have stations like 97.3 WRVV Harrisburg (rock n roll without the hard edge) and 102.9 MGK (classic rock, although I always consider them more of a classic hits station with the "classic rock" branding). I consider 93.5 WTPA Harrisburg a true classic rocker. Anyhow, Frank is a nice alternative to some of the other stations in the Reading area, especially Y102. While Y102 has leaned more classic rock over the past few weeks, you will still hear some new songs that aren't familiar. Every song on Frank-FM is a familiar song. I asked my brother-in-law if he heard the new station in Reading. He said he did, but it was interesting that he also mentioned "Y102 has changed their music mix," in reference to the classic rock approach. Y102 has brand loyalty and music variety going for them. As much as I like Frank-FM, I don't think they'll be able to topple WRFY. They'll take a chunk of their audience, but I don't think they'll overcome Y102.
