Ahem...back to Bruce Kelly. He needs to be Bruce instead of trying to sound KT'Rish as everyone knows that doesn't work. His observations last night on Phoenix TV personalities after his absence from the market was dead on. He got all the nips, tucks, boob-jobs, hair plugs and teeth extensions (The Hooner). That IS Bruce at his best. He doesn't need to try so hard to convince the Men In Secret Underwear to hire him...Bruce can easily do the job there or take a shot at the ChickBoss' nightime experiment. Nurse Jeff and I think he's exactly what KT'R needs...and those traffic reports every ten minutes at night are not!

I'm so sick of talk show hosts on KTAR being tentative with their opinions for fear of offending some bigwig like Jerry Colangelo. That's NOT what talk radio is about! Bruce Kelly's bit on PHX's TV personalities was great! THAT'S what you beat KFYI with. Crummey could never do that topic, because he can't watch PHX television from Los Angeles....

Notice after-hours they don't say anything about "every ten minutes"... I'm not sure what time they switch, but at night, it's only four times an hour. Still on the sixes, just not ALL of the sixes.
I'll admit I haven't heard much of Kelly on 620, but on Monday I heard him yapping for an hour about how great he has been on other stations. Last night, I tuned out after about a half hour of him complaining about his wife to a therapist or something. If I wanted to hear that, I'd call one of my parents!
I've heard (ok, seen) the guy's name thrown around on this board for years, and now that I've heard him, I am thoroughly disapointed. I hope this is not his "A-game".

Yes, because the two big talkers in Pho-town are just about the only stations left with any personality whatsoever (besides a few morning shows). Sucks, but that's the state of radio.

How can anyone have bring their " A-Game" in this situation,especially following D'Backs/Suns games ?
I've heard Bruce every night this week. Yeah, his 1st night was rough, but here's the difference. HE ADMITTED IT ON THE AIR !!! Balls. Especially when you are "auditioning".
No one mentioned that the KTAR GM called him LIVE on the air andgave him s**t about it in a teasing sort of way.
The past two nights were complete turnarounds. LIke Doc Akbar suggested to Bruce, quit acting like a KTAR talk host and let it rip. Obviously BK already had the discussion with himself and did so.
The LAST move KTAR can do is hire another "talk show host".
Thats why Bruce gets the job. And it ain't 9-mid.

Despite the continuing "auditioning," I have heard Gaydos still almost has the night shift in the bag...???
