We've all waited long enough, and now the time has come. We are just about down to the final episodes of Oprah Winfrey ever, which will leave many viewers in tears. However, it seems like some affiliates are already set for when Oprah leaves the air. It seems like several ABC O&Os such as WABC, WPVI, WTVD and KABC are replacing Oprah with a 4pm newscast, and they will be doing it as early as this Thursday. I wonder if any non ABC O&Os will be doing this.

Raycom-owned ABC station in Biloxi, MS, WLOX is showing reruns of Oprah until fall then they will premiere a Raycom produced show called "America Now" with Bill Rancic. The show is already shown weekly on Raycom owned stations.
Unfortunately, WLOX is a station that only shows Wheel of Fortune and not Jeopardy, which leaves a hole for satellite dish subscribers in South Mississippi. Here's why, Biloxi is an incomplete market, they don't have a CBS, NBC, or CW affiliate. Directv and Dish Network beams in ABC, FOX, and PBS from Biloxi and CBS, NBC, and CW from New Orleans. Wheel and Jeopardy is shown on the Fox affiliate in New Orleans WVUE and the Fox affiliate in Mobile WALA for those like me who live closer to Mobile. Of course, Directv and Dish will not grant permits for viewers to get another Fox affiliate or WABC since Biloxi already has a Fox and ABC affiliate. Cable subscribers though can get WALA or WVUE depending on whether you live East or West of Biloxi. Sorry for the rant, but it sucks.

WFSB-TV (CBS) channel 3 of Hartford looks as if they'll air best-of episodes from the past season starting on Thursday. Translation: they're not changing anything until September. After all, WFSB-TV has aired her syndicated show since it started in 1986, largely due to best friend Gayle King already being an anchor with the station from 1981 to 1999. Dr. Phil will still air at 9 AM on WTNH-TV (ABC) channel 8 of New Haven, with a second run the same day at 6 PM on sister station WCTX-TV (MY) channel 59 of New Haven.
WSMV-channel 4 here in Nashville is starting a 4:00 p.m. newscast beginning tomorrow afternoon. Channels 2 and 5 (WKRN and WTVF, respectively) have had 4:00 p.m. newscasts for several years now.
While mentioned in another thread, but ABC O&O WLS-TV in Chicago has had Oprah on at 9am (one of the few markets she was on in the morning) since 1986 (locally, she was on for 2 years before that hosting AM Chicago in the same timeslot). WLS-TV is premiering Windy City Live tomorrow in the same timeslot, hosted by Valerie Warner & Ryan Chiaverini.. This will be WLS-TV's first local talk show since AM Chicago. WLS-TV will continue showing Oprah at 11:05pm until September, which then, they supposedly will move Jimmy Kimmel to that timeslot. The 11:05pm timeslot has been the repeat of the same day's episode.
WFTV will air recap and live coverage of the Casey Anthony trial at 4 PM and then in September it will air Dr. Oz at 4 PM.
WRDQ will probably air repeats of Oprah until Dr. Oz comes at 9 PM in September.

Oprah had that 11:05 pm slot since day one. When they did put Jimmy Kimmel there at that slot and moved Oprah to 12:05 after Jimmy, WLS got a lot of calls from viewers showing their dislike of the change, mainly because Oprah viewers were higher at night as opposed to the day (remember: WLS was Oprah's flagship show, where she was on in Chicago at 9 am.). WLS obliged and put Oprah back to 11:05 and there was literally nothing the Mouse could do about it. Plus her 11:05 numbers were beating Letterman, Leno, reruns of Seinfeld, (during his run) Montel, reruns of Friends, and the second run of Jerry Springer.
