Did anyone watch today's retrospective(November 14th)? It was interesting to see how times have really changed with the show and she does keep it refreshing after all these years.

BTW she also has a 17 hours DVD set of classic moments coming out Tuesday(November 15th).

Didn't see it but I would bet that everyone in the audience got a free copy of her DVD!

No they didn't. Sorry.

She can giveaway cars, but she insists that the audience buy their own copy of the DVD set.

Just out of curiosity, what would it cost to burn a copy of the DVD from a computer?
______________
Once I figured out the meaning of life....Then I forgot to write it down.

Technically, Oprah's 20th anniversary as a nationally-syndicated show isn't until next September.

I do know that her show was locally broadcast in Chicago (where it's still taped) prior to going national; maybe the show premiered locally in 1985.

This is the 20th season of Oprah in national syndication, and the timing of this show was deliberate to put it into the November sweeps.

"Oprah" isn't the only one who's jumping the anniversary gun...

Both "Entertainment Tonight"(Which debuted in 1981) and "Access Hollywood"(1996) are also celebrating early.

I have a tape from early 1988 of the Oprah Winfrey Show, and at the end of the credits is the WLS-TV 7 logo. How long did they keep the WLS logo in the credits after that?
______________
From WNBC-TV New York this is Liiiiive at Fiiiiive!

The show was originally local on WLS-7, and continued to be taped there until Oprah built her own production studio (Harpo Studio) in Chicago.

So to answer the question: The WLS logo likely remained in the credits until Harpo Studio was completed and the show began taping there.
