No compellor or other AGC... The STL is set up with a reasonable amount of headroom. I believe the multiband is probably driving about 10-12dB of average GR.

I can understand reducing the drive to the multiband, but it seems if it were running fast, the grunge would be just as bad during sustained "dense" program material... which is the material that tends to have the most distortion to begin with! I seemed to have this problem when setting up the 8282 on the air.


Do the multiband limiters have a "soft knee" that causes it to respond differently if driven lower, EVEN when all bands are 'active'?
