Optimod 6200

I'm looking for a good soundprocessor to process the audio on my webstation, I want to sound cooler than
others you know :)
Anyway my budget is about $1000/1250 so i was looking at ebay and found this Orban Optimod, I know the Orban Optimod
processors are quite good and well known to be kickass sounding.

What do you guys think about the Optimod 6200?

Thanks in advance,

I use a 6200 at several stations I work at/for/with and they all sound good, but I think you'll be hard pressed tol find one for the $1200 budget. You could get a Orban 1100PC Sound Card with is equal to the 6200 but uses a host PC (Windows OS) to run. I bet you could find this for anywhere from $900 and up on the used market

The 6200 from Orban has now been replaced by the 6300 which packs in a few extra features.

One other option to consider is the DSPXmini-HD which can be viewed at www.audio-processor.com. It is a little over your budget at around $1700 but it would be brand new with a 2 year warranty.

You may also wish to check out our competitors products including the Ariane Sequel, the Vorsis HPD3 or the Omnia One multicast. Ok, so the Ariane is not strictly a competitor (;

BTW. Some of the BW product line is now available under the Audemat badge through BSW (broadcast supply worldwide). Expect more of the line in their catalog shortly.

It sounds pretty good, much like the 1100 PC v1 that I did like, but this will go for alot more than $1250. I own one... it is the 1RU unit and I snagged it for $1900 a few months ago. I would suggest also looking at the DSPXmini-HD. We have DSP-X's setup on our webstream and they sound very good.

I would stay away from the Vorsis stuff. You may want to look at some CRL stereo stuff. If you can find a CRL SPP-800/SEP-800 combo on Ebay for around $600, that combo could really kick @ss online. How do I know, I've actually used it online and it sounds terrific.
