O'Reilly Dumped in DC - Lousy Ratings

O'Reilly's Radio Factor is being dumped in the nation's capital due to low ratings and interest. It's been replaced by "The Sports Junkies."

Actually, that move on WJFK looks to be more part of a format flip to "Free FM" than anything else.
______________

Chicago's Free FM (WCKG) is still running O'Reilly in evenings on tape delay. And remember how gung-ho Viacom/Infinity/Westwood One were about clearing his show?
______________

Make that at least five top-100 markets where he doesn't air. WW1 will continue to claim "100% coverage". Ugh.

Don and Mike had complained about being sandwiched between two political shows once Severin arrives; problem solved. Personally, they were right to gripe, seeing that WW1 pays no attention to them and O'Reilly, despite mediocre to lousy ratings, gets top attention at the failing network. If I were WTNT, I'd dump format-inconsistent Jim Bohannon and clear O'Reilly 10-midnight. Maybe they'd pick up some small amount of momentum. Besides, Jim's AITM is already on... WJFK.

Sure, I'm a dyed-in-the-wool conservative, and I usually agree with O'Reilly. However, let's be honest. His show sucks. I'd be more informed and entertained by watching paint dry. When he was taken off the air here in Asheville, I'm not too sure anybody noticed, except for the people who were glad something better took his place.
