O'Reilly on Nielsen

Bill O'Reilly leveled a strong accusation toward Nielsen. Mr. O'Reilly cites unprecedented "swings" in the ratings, hinting that Nielsen is tampering with the data to favor NBC outlets, which are deemed to lean liberal. The basis of this accusation is, as O'Reilly reports, Nielsen execs have contributed to the Obama campaign. This is a very strong accusation and could possibly, if true, be the end of the ratings giant. Common sense would dictate that even a highly motivated politcal activist would not jeopardize a company doing billions annually to alter the ratings to favor any news organization.

Keith Olbermann did a very good, logical, response to Billo's bombast on the Countdown show of Friday. Should be up at countdown.msnbc.com now. It is really pretty funny.

The word "logical" is not a word normally used in any mention of either Mr. O'Reilly or Mr. Olbermann. That statement applies in this case, especially. O'Reilly is his usual paranoid, bombasic, ego-centric self, while Olbermann is his usual condescending, bombastic, ego-centric self.

Nothing to see in either man's rantings. ::)
