Hi there. Yes it's October 5th at the Puritan Back Room in Manchester. This was (and hopefuly will be again) a monthly gathering of ORFs(Old Radio Farts). A name give to our group by Al Sprague. The phone number in the previous post is not accurate. I've cancelled that line. If you would like to be part of our group and come to this dinner specifically, please email me at [email protected]. Currently we have room for 48 people in the room reserved. To date we have 42 confirmed. 6 spots left. I just confirmed the menu and time. 6p-7p hors d’oeuvres and drinks. 7p-9p Dinner. 9p-11p "radio war stories" and general catching up. Cost is $30 per person. Drinks not included which has saddened Jessie Cain! Even if you can't make it, drop me a note so I can include you in future gathering notices. I don't know who EBOL or PROBUTTONPUSHER are but if you have not contacted me please get in touch. If you have and are staying annonymous OK!

I've heard the evening for Ed was a big success and a lot of people there. Anyone care to comment on the night? Share some stories? Any hot rumors? Or is it the kind of thing where what happens at the ORF meeting stays at the ORF Meeting?

I remember Ed when I was just in th ebusiness a few years. At the time he was doing mornings at WGIR in Manchester. I would also see him from time to time doing TV at WENH- Channel 11 when I was there.

If you haven't read his book, "New Hampshire Ether" (I believe I don't have it in front of me), you should get a copy. It goes back in NH's radio history when AM was cool and local DJ's were celebrities. Who wears a shirt and tie to work anymore?

Yes. And those featured on that page,of the living, where are they now?

Thanks to that site, I can say that I was able to get back in touch with an old station boss of mine after 10 years.
