Origin Of "The Tookie Bird"

Can anyone confirm the original home of Q105's "Tookie Bird"? I know for a fact that I have heard the exact same "Tookie Bird" on New York's Z-100 more than 20 years ago... Perhaps Tampa is his "retirement" home...

<sigh>...Most everyone who hasn't had their lips attached to these guys know very well the sound effect..and the Bird.... originated on the original "George Of The Jungle" cartoons in the 1960's.

My God, the way some of you people get off on these guys, you'll eventually credit Shannon, Mason and Cleveland for inventing Radio itself....

Now, that is news to me... No, really, you learn something new every day! Off to YouTube to watch "George of the Jungle..." Watch out for that tree from Google!

Nope, just the internet...and later global warming.

Gotta do something to keep your mind occupied while somebody's sleeping in your inherited bed.

Jeff in Sa-ra-so-ta!

Studio 20, when did I say Shannon or Cleveland or Mason invented radio? D to the J asked for the original home of the Tookie bird, and I linked up what you hear now to Shannon and the Q-Zoo days. You took it a step further and linked it to George of the Jungle. Now we all know the TRUE original home of the Tookie bird.

Geez this is a freakin' message board for people reminiscing about a 50-year-old sound effect. Get a hold of yourself.
