Original Clearance of "Small Wonder"

Here's my almost definite list of the stations which first aired the memorable sitcom in its first season in 1985.

New York: WNEW
Los Angeles: KTTV
Chicago: WFLD
Philadelphia: WTAF
Boston: WSBK
Dallas/Ft. Worth: KRLD
Atlanta: WAGA
Detroit: WJBK
Houston: KRIV
Phoenix: KPNX
Miami: WCIX
Denver: KUSA
Minneapolis: KARE
Cleveland: WJW
St. Louis: KPLR
Pittsburgh: WTAE
Baltimore: WBAL
Kansas City: WDAF
San Diego: KCST (now KNSD)
Cincinnati: WKRC
Columbus: WTVN
Oklahoma City: KOCO
Birmingham: WBRC
Toledo: WTVG
Dayton: WDTN

I'm trying to find out which stations in the following markets initially aired the show:

Washington, D.C. (either WTTG or WDCA)
Milwaukee (I think it more than likely may have been seen on WITI)

I've made these assumptions based on the fact that Small Wonder was produced by the New Program Group, which consisted of the Metromedia, Gannett, Hearst, Taft and Storer station groups.

Feel free to add to the list or let me know if I make a mistake.

sMALL Wonder aired on Mobile WKRG at 6:30 pm on Saturday nights and Also WAKA on Sunday night at 5:00 pm . WAKA was a montgomery, Alabama CBS station

I know for sure that WITI aired Small Wonder...it aired right in the middle of the Saturday morning cartoon block, preempting one of the CBS shows. As for Washington, since the show did on the original Fox-owned stations, I would safely assume WTTG aired it as well.

WTXX-TV (CW) channel 20 of Waterbury/Hartford aired the show as an independent in 1985. I think WPXT-TV (CW) channel 51 of Portland, ME aired it as a FOX affiliate in 1986-87.

In San Francisco, KBHK (44) aired 'Small Wonder' for the first season, on Saturday afternoons. I seem to remember they moved it a lot, and it changed times every few weeks. I believe KBHK dropped it after that season, and then-KOFY (20) picked it up.

WOFL in Orlando aired Small Wonder in the late afternoon-early evening on Saturdays I dunno what time

The irony is that none of the cast members outside of Dick Christie are memorable.

I am sure SW aired on WTTG as well but there was a time back in the 80's when WRC channel 4 was airing sitcoms in the 7:30 slot. I know both Marblehead Manor and She's The Sheriff aired on WRC but I don't remember the other three...makes me wonder if Small Wonder popped up on WRC for a brief time anyway.

I do remember Small Wonder airing on TV in both Hampton Roads and Richmond. I am pretty sure it was Norfolk's WTVZ channel 33 that had it but for Richmond, I would like to say it was WVRN channel 63 but not totally sure on that.

WCVB was the original Boston station for "Small Wonder," given that it was a Metromedia station at the time. WSBK had the show strictly in reruns. BTW, Edie McClurg was the other "familiar" face on "Small Wonder"; she left the series midway to join "The Hogan Family" (then "Valerie").

WNBC in New York did that, too. In fact, I think the other three are "We Got It Made," "Throb" and "You Can't Take It With You." Anyway, I'm sure if you do a search on this forum, you'll find a thread about what NBC liked to call primetime starting "early" on its O&O's.

...I'm positive that WLRE/26 Green Bay also carried the thing that first year (they changed their call sign to WGBA a few weeks into the run)...

Is it an online fan club? If so, I'd like to join it! What's the URL?

Ralfan, Miami's WPLG had Small Wonder and not WCIX. And not only that, Phoenix's KPHO also had it and not KPNX.

I assume that in Des Moines, IA(correct me if I'm wrong), Small Wonder was seen on KCCI.
