As far as I can tell, these are the original combos in Rhode Island:

WADK: AM1540-FM107.1 (later WOTB & moved to 100.3)
WERI: AM1230-FM103.7
WFCI: AM1420-FM101.5
WHIM: AM1110-FM99.9
WJAR: AM920-FM95.5-TV11 (later 10)
WJJF: AM1180-FM102.7 (WPJB)
WPRO: AM630-FM92.3-TV12
WWON: AM1240-FM105.5 (later 106.3)

I'm pretty sure it was WXCN, part of the Concert Network with WBCN, WHCN, WNCN, and WRCN.
 
It was but I think that was in the '60s. From the research I did it was originally WFCI-FM in the '50s or maybe 1948.
 
Don't forget that the Providence Journal had 1420 for awhile, as WPJB-AM. It went dark when the Journal bought 790, and the frequency went to WBSM in New Bedford. I remember seeing the Providence patterns in the station's records when I was chief engineer there.
