Original morning shows

Atlanta is a top 10 market. However, we have several stations that port in morning shows from lesser markets. Why are Atlanta morning shows not syndicating their shows on other stations? I am not talking about voicetracking. I am talking about live shows. Also, why can't we seem to generate morning shows with originality or originate from Atlanta? I it is cheaper to port in another show from outside, but you would think a top 10 market could stand on its own.

The water here? Atlanta is a different market. It's the biggest conservative city America. There's a lot of money to be made and so risk taking shows, i.e. "original" shows have short ropes or no rope at all.

I was told here recently on this board that the last original morning show in Atlanta was Skinny Bobby Harper so that just show you the mentality around here. Nobody here is worth anythign. They can sell an ad they tranisiton out of breaks and basically just hacks. So you can see why it is impossible to ever be considered groundbreaking in Atlanta when you live in the shadow of Skinn Bobby. I say the above for the most part is not true. Some people need to learn to adapt since this is not the 70's anymore.

If any show is going to be succesful, it has to be too SOMETHING.
