Looks like Mix went way up nearly 2 points in June before steadying in in August. Sunny and WPOZ are also towards the top of the heap, nothing suprising with the 2 best programmed Orlando stations.

WMMO is staying steady while putting listeners to sleep. ;D ;D ;D

Not living there, but for those in ORL, how do you think that WPYO could do, if it were on a 50k or 100k stick? I think that their ratings as I see them are amazing, considering the disadvantage they have.

I'd say their tower & power are perfect for the format: few if any people outside Orange & Osceola care about Rythmic. It's a format for the urban core & folks who identify with said lifestyle.

Interesting that news, talk and sports continue to slide down the pole. Is it that people are burned out on talk formats or have they just become stale and predictable?

Power is winning by default because of the self-destructive behavior of WJHM chasing and failing at competing with WXXL.

Actually, there are core listeners in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties. The station toys with but marginally targets the urban music listening populous of the region just like its Greenville-Spartanburg sister station, WHZT.

Dont get too Comfy sunny 105.9 in first Place WMGF
will claim that spot For when it goes all christmas in 2 months

weird, in one of the southern most markets, country has no presence..........why is XL slip sliding, station sounds totaly on point. Much better than PYO.... but the PPM's are being kind. No system put together by arbitron will ever work right. Thought?

Seems to be a national trend with Talk(conservative commentary). What really scary for that format is that they should be up because we're so close to the elections.

I remember looking at the 2008 rankings, and Talk was ranking so high in NYC, LA and Tampa and now it's way down in most markets.

Orlando is not a very "southern" market anymore.

In september why such a flip with WPOZ-FM and WOCL in the ratings one way up the other way down?

Arbitron, as a rule, replaces all the panelists every two years in every PPM market. This happened over the summer in Orlando which resulted in some pretty wild swings. This appears to be over and we now back to normal.

I don't think WOCL did anything wrong, just caught a big break last month as the new panel settled. WPOZ being number one this month is no surprise as they have been in that spot eight out of the last nine monthlies. In the months ahead and outside of the holiday book, I think WOMX and not WOCL is the one to watch as the contender for WPOZ's crown.
