orlando radio teams...

Howard Stern is worth listening to???? Whether that slimeball is on Sirius or not, that is nothing more than slimeball, sleazy radio, not worth one second of brain power.

[EDIT]

[EDIT-inflammatory]

Now this topic says "Orlando Radio Teams", but since I just saw Drunky The Bear and Dirty Jim mentioned above, I think that the real topic here should be "No-Talent Hacks in Orlando Radio".....

When it comes to the best team, even though I do not listen to this station, Dave & Leslie are pretty damn good....

I agree Howard Stern is a pig. But with that opinion aside I don’t remember the last time I ever stayed in my car to listen to end of a radio bit like I did with Stern. When the guy has a guest in the studio he can carry on a great interview. Philips is close but they gets old.
Monsters is just a bunch of stupid guys yelling all a once. So I don’t listen.

Baxter and Mark, Tommy and Paul, Spector and Cross, the Uglies (Ugly Jerry & Mrs Ugly), Cohen and Cross (the B'fast Flakes), Tuna and Fish ...

Scott Walker and jack the duck, mike lyons and carren sheldon, drew garabo and carol dedman - the news thang on real radio back in the day

i moved to orlando in 1969 - the first morning man that i remember being somewhat entertaining was a guy named Bill Dennis on WLOF, he was followed by John Lander.......i think both had male news men who chimed in from time to time, but weren't really 'sidekicks.'

I recall hearing Mike Lyons on DIZ in the morning when I was about 5 or 6 (My Mother always had it on 100.3 in the morning when she drove me to kindergarten...)...let us not forget Pat & taco....

I forgot all about Mike Lyons.. I must be getting old..

All right..No comments from the Peanut gallary

i remember when mike lyons worked for WORJ....which later became ZETA 7.........two great stations i listened to as a teenager growing up in pine hills. didn't need armor and weaponry to live in the hills back then. great place to grow up, now it's like baghdad..

In the "Where Are They Now?" dept., Mike Lyons has been doing the weather for WPBF Ch 25 in West Palm Beach for about 20 years now.

Hey MusicMan.... your comment on Pine Hills is pretty damn Funny......

it's sad. i have so many good memories from my days growing up there in pine hills, from 1969 through the 80s. i drove through there about six months ago and was afraid to roll down the window. i actually saw a story in the orlando sentinel, there was a homicide at the house i grew up in.

right down the street lived Rock Robinson, a well known orlando radio personality. Down the street on the other side lived the parents of Jim Casey, the midday host on WLOF.....i digress.

DIZ guy, i listened to real radio when it first hit the airwaves with howard stern, what, mid 1990s? my favorite show was the lead-in for howard stern. Carol Dedman and Drew Garabo gave the local news for an hour between 5 and 6 am - i was a regular contributor to their show. for some reason, i just loved that show - if you will excuse the term, it was real radio.........i moved away and don't listen to it anymore, but i guess it's gone downhill from what i read here.

Shannon Burke is a good show, but The Monsters and Philips are 100% pure crap.....

I have not had a chance to listen to Buckethead, but as long as he sticks to current events and stays away from music then his show will probably be pretty good...the dude has a great personality and used to always have a very well paced show on JRR, but he was 100% clueless in the department of musical knowledge.....However, I hope that he does well because he always is a pro in the department of broadcasting....unlike that crap that is on in the mornings and afternoon on WTKS...

Hands down, The Shannon Burke Show team is the best team in Orlando radio. Shannon, SBK, and Cabin Boy all equally add some good banter and subject to the show and bring on some good guests. I haven't gotten to listen to Buckethead on WTKS yet but I liked him a lot at WJRR. As far as the rest of the day, The Philips Phile is okay at times but annoying the rest of the time but the Monsters is the MOST OVERRATED SHOW in radio, what the hell does this market see in these morons? I guess the ratings all come from the rednecks in areas like Bithlo, Sanford, Titusville, or Geneva who can't relate with the K92 or WPCV morning shows because they aren't redneck enough. I cannot stand the show, I'd rather listen to the pompous MJ aka Schnitt berate his crew at WFLZ on WBVD.

Shannon, SBK, and Cabin boy are great....

They should be on in the afternoon....

The Monsters are 100% pure crap, and The Philips Phile should be rennamed "Just a bunch of people all talkin' at the same time..."
