Ortegal switched back to television

Down here in Houston we're blacked out of Mavericks games. Any reason why they're switching ... bad chemistry, just plain bad work on the current TV guy, etc.?

Ortegal had been the tv analyst for the Mavs for a LONG time. Switching him to radio & Brad Davis to TV was a big mistake (both ways) by Cuban that he let play out for a year. I'm glad Mark fixed it.

If this is true all I can say is THANK GOD! Brad Davis is a nice guy but he was terrible on TV. You could have played a drinking called "Brad Davis says Nice Job" Mavs did a nice job on that fast break, Mavs did a nice job getting of back on defense, etc... He would use this phrase what seemed like 60-70 times per game. He also was afraid of "telling it like it is". He would never criticize the mavs when they were playing bad. That was probably due to his close ties to the team. In the TV post game show one night during the Mavs playoff debacle this past season Ortegal comes on and starts with "I'm not gonna sugar coat this folks''. Brad looked like he was going to s..t in his pants. Ortegal has always been a great comentator and would explain the x's and o's basketball really well. His talent was completely wasted on the radio. If this is really true Mavs fans, our long broadcasting nightmare is over

brad was freaking boring. ortegal doesnt bull*hit his way through the game. he tells it how it is. good to hear he's coming back.

I am glad Ortegal is back for entertainment purposes and his basketball knowledge is top notch, but you guys claiming he tells it like it is are not being honest.

He is as big a homer as comes for any sports team. Nothing wrong with that given the position, but he is never taking the hard hitting stance against the mavs. Not sugar coating a playoff debacle amounts to him being quiet for 5 minutes.
