Sally Kirkland, an actress who had appeared in numerous Hollywood films such as The Sting, The Way We Were, JFK and Bruce Almighty, has passed at age 84.

Kirkland was recovering from a fall in which she had broken her neck, arm and hip. She succumbed to some sort of infection.

She had been nominated for an Oscar for her performance in the 1987 film Anna.
