OT: The switch to digital TV

I'm curious, for those that had analog TVs set up, if anyone caught the last minutes of analog TV on any of the Pittsburgh stations. With all of the stations covering the Penguins' Stanley Cup victory, did it happen on time? Did any of the stations do anything special?

As for WPCW. . . did anyone try to catch their jump-cut to their digital channel?

Apparently, KDKA had a special signoff on its analog signal:

Did anyone tape other stations' signoffs?

I was watching KDKA and WPXI, but was not taping either. KDKA did a very nice retrospective piece which you have linked to here. Ended up with a WDTV test pattern card and then went to nightlight programming. WPXI briefly interrupted their Stanley Cup coverage about ten minutes prior to the switch to remind people and to publicize their help line phone number. No ceremony or fanfare, they just pulled the plug in the middle of an interview with Ray Shero. By my watch it was about 2 min. early, probably to allow WPCW to get up and running. I switched to ATSC tuner, got the start of WPCW digital, but for some reason did not have any sound. Did not see what TAE did.
