More here in Media Week.

Looks like WUAB will have to air reruns of Magnum, p.i. and Johnny Carson in the prime-time slot, or take a flier on Fox's MyTV (which is replacing disaffected Fox-owned UPN affils...)

That was the prediction when the CW was announced, and despite the very, very logical fit CW would have been on WUAB, Raycom is just too cheap to be logical.

I don't want to say I told ya so, but...

In all honesty, WBNX had more to offer than WUAB.

55 has better ratings, a better schedule, was more willing to play ball financially, and just wanted it more.

43 may well get "My Network", but it could also just as well go indie and show movies at night.

By going indie, 43 could then have more flexiblity to air more Cavs and Ohio State basketball games too.

For what it's worth....

It will be very wierd to have "The 90 and 9 Club" come on after "WWE Smackdown".

Vince McMahon and Ernest Angley on the same station.

That just amuses me for some reason.

This would be wise for WUAB, but unfortunately, it seems they'd rather be a wannabe-paid programming channel than actually programming anything. When they used to show movies on Saturday and Sunday afternoons several years ago, they would actually get very respectable ratings, believe it or not. So, it would be wise to program movies on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and weeknights. It would certainly be an alternative to other stations that are running sports or paid programming to fill blocks of time.

Oops, Raycom doesn't like paying for stuff, so this might be a problem, even though they have plenty of library movies.

This was one of the factors that hurt WUAB's chances was pre-emption. I certainly can't blame CW execs for being strict on this right now. WBNX has never pre-empted WB's programming. And WBNX has done a great job promoting the network's programming.
Now if they'd actually get a STEREO signal. Sigh.

Yes, it does. Which makes me wonder how will "90 and 9 Club" factor into the revised network? Will this be a "bump" in the scheduling, like the "700 Club" is for ABC Family?...
