OTA TV update

WFBI-LD 33 appears to be on. I can't decode it at my midtown location. Of the 3 signals coming out of the same antenna on the WTWV tower I can only get 17. 46 will give me a frame here and there if I really work the rabbit ears. They all use 15 kw.

WWTW 34 is on the air from the WIVG-FM Tower at Arkabutla with 20 kw. Programming similar to WTWV. AR is very messed up. looks like a 4:3 SD signal ran through 2 widescreen SD processes with bars. I need to be run through that system so I can be tall and skinny. It's very odd looking on my OTA TV which is an old 4:3 TV.

W50EA-D 50 is on with 3Angels with Religious programming from the WLMT/WPTY tower. 3 SD channels and 2 audio channels.

I just pulled up channel 46 -- I can get broadcast here on my computer (in HD, too). Signal is very strong here in Germantown. BUT, the video just says, "no signal," obviously meaning that the satellite receiver at the site isn't getting a signal. That's pretty lame.

I can't seem to get 34.

WMAV/Oxford seems to have some issues. Lots of signal -- but there is something wrong with the data stream. I hope they fix it; I like MPB.

I can't do much with WMAV. Occasionally I see a tiny bit of signal from them. I wish I was still in the high rise just below the 200ft level. I could watch W15CG from Pontotoc up there about as well as it looks on cable in Bruce. I could also watch WCBI HD any given night. The signal dropped some during the day and it didn't decode to well.

What about 33 & 50? and can you decode 17? your quite a bit closer than I am in midtown I think.

Getting 34 took a little work to find a sweet spot.
 
33, 50 & 17 are all solid. Lots of signal and no freezing.

Interestingly, 17 has begun doing some local programming for the local Hispanic population. That's what LPTV is supposed to be.

I have also thought about that Ceton M-card turner but It's just to much money and they are about 700 orders/3 months behind on right now anyway.

Most likely getting a Moxi and 2 or 3 Mate boxes.
 
A quick DTV note:

WREG has added Antenna TV, a "classic" TV service for digital subchannels, owned by Tribune. It's on digital 3-3.

It's not a bad channel. It's just really, really compressed.

ANOTHER NEW TV STATION:

WDNM-LD is now on the air. It's on RF 21, but is labeled as 59-1. It's 15 kW, with the transmitter on Clark Tower. Signal is Germantown is merely OK.

It's religion, of course. In this case, DayStar.
