Other AM catches...USA

Now, are there any American AMs to look out for? Last night I picked up WHO in Des Moine, Iowa. Still haven't able to pick up WSM 650 in Nashville, TN.

700 WLW in Cincinnati is a tough one to catch. It doesn't get past KSEV in Houston very often. I try for it about once a week and probably hear it twice a year.

When I drove between SA and Austin at night I would listen to WLS CHICAGO 890, WHAS LOUISVILLE 840, WWL NEW ORLEANS 870, KOMA (TULSA?) 1520 plus KMOX ST LOUIS, WHO DES MOINES, WBBM 720 CHICAGO, WGN 780 CHICAGO and a station in OMAHA. WSM was an occasional catch, XEG was always city grade. KRLD 1080 was strong, and WBAP 820 came in, but that was before 810 signed on north of town. once I heard WCCO 830 MPLS.

KFAB is the station in Omaha you are refering to. Normally puts a listenable signal into the Austin S.A area--actually KFAB is heavily directional to the west during the night. When I used to live up there, I couldn't get KFAB worth a crap 50 miles east of Omaha at night. Comes in like a local in Colorado, Utah, and usually most of Arizona as well. Once in a great while I could catch KFAB in Turlock, CA (my old college town) WSM is generally a decent catch around here. WHO comes in frequently as well.
