With Brandmeier officially coming back, this has resulted in a couple other changes in jock shifts. Byrd, who has been doing mornings, returns to evenings, which means that Seaver has been demoted to part-time/weekends, which I think blows. They should have shifted Zakk to that position. I can't stand the sound of that guy and he just doesn't flow. I'd rather hear Byrd or Seaver during the afternoon shift than Zakk. He just doesn't do anything for me.

Any thoughts/opinions on the changes?

I have a strong opinion. I think its all BS. I don't really like Byrd, his "Radio voice," seems so fake. I don't like guys that sound like that. I think they should do an Active Rock format, and grab some of the Jocks that are being fired from K Rock. Like Booker. I think he is a great talent.

I have to say though, I love radio, I want to work in Radio, but damn, people get fired left and right. Its insane, there is no job stability. I feel bad for all those people at the infinity stations that got let go. Ouch! On the other hand, I look at a station like B96, there on-air DJs have been there for a very long time. Must be nice!

Think I agree. I was thinking Byrd would be nice in the afternoon.

The All Request Rock and Roll afternoon show? That'd be cool

Now I'm reading that Seaver is completely out of the Loop (no pun intended). Apparently, he is not even doing part-time/weekends anymore. He's gone.

Over at Crow_On, Seaver himself has stated that he's completely out at WLUP. I wish him the best- IMO he's the finest jock they have (or had I guess). I agree that the new Zakk guy should have been the one shuffled (no personal offense to Zakk, Seaver just sounds better). Best wishes to Seaver; I've enjoyed his delivery since the Blaze days.
