Other possible Infinity HD multicasts

Since we already have WUSN-II with all New Country and WJMK-II reviving the oldies, let's get some ideas for the remaining HD multicasts that Infinity could do on it's 3 other FMs. Keep in mind this is me just giving my idea, not saying this will happen. And I am also trying to compliment the exisiting programming that's on the particular frequency that could multicast.

WBBM-FM-II Pure Dance "Energy". Hey, Infinity could revive a beloved name and format at then same time. Would compliment B96.

WXRT-II: Deep tracks. Want it deeper then even a typical AAA? This could be that station!

WKCG-II: All Comedy Radio. Pick up that Comedy radio network and listeners could have funnies 24/7!

Sure would, but they will go with "old school" dance and rap instead

Would be cool, but instead they will do something like NYC's K-ROCK2, all new modern rock.

Classic Rock

Don't get me wrong, all of your ideas are great! But Infinity will play it safe and all this HD Radio stuff is just another revenue stream. They won't do anything cutting edge.

By the way, I don't know how WJMK or US99's multicasts sound, but K-ROCK2 plays the same 20-30 songs over and over.

Put it to you this way, these big companies will continue NOT serving the public interest. Unless I buy a new car that comes with HD Radio, I wont be listening. And as far as Infiniti streaming online, why would you listen to their crappy station when there are soooo many worthwhile Internet Radio Stations.

Google Motorola's new Car, podcasting, internet radio, mp3 device. THAT is the future of radio. sat in on a symposium Ibiquity held in Chicago about 5 years ago and IBOC and HD Radio sounded pretty cool. But like everything, manufacturers and Broadcasters dragged their feet. They put out a Shi&$y product, what's the point of doubling their crap stations.

I'll wait for in-car wireless internet and Infinity can keep their cheap streams and stupid text traffic reports.

Yes but, WI-FI looked like the emerging winner, now it is CDMA wireless internet.

10 years from now, both will be distant memories to whatever it has evolved to or new is created.

And WI-FI's biggest problem? Can't put a price tag on it! It is a great promtional took but in a capitalistic society, you cant meter it, so making no money, you can't maintain it, someone will have to provide the equipemnt at a loss etc...... <P ID="signature">______________
