My wife has been offered a gig in Newport Beach and I've done some research, but can't find any radio stations in the OC. Are there any, or would I have to drive upwards of 60 miles to get to work in LA or SD?

You can't have both... to work in radio and to live in one of the nicest places in SoCal. It's the IE, the desert, LA or SD.

There are reported to be 80 AM/FM signals in the LA Metro area. COL means nothing here as you can tell by the posts. Everyone commutes (some up to 100 miles each way). So don't let COL be a determinant. Get the job, figure out where the studios are, then live where you want (or can afford - at least here in LA).
