Ottawa's 101.9 DAWG FM is barking

As of yesterday morning they threw the switch and began testing. If this is a hint of what we're going to get, this is going to be one outstanding radio station. I'm not a huge blues fan, but I'm thoroughly enjoying what I'm hearing. Reception in Downtown Ottawa is decent I haven't had a chance to go to the outlying areas of the city to hear how it's coming in there. Listeners should be happy that they got this frequency and not 99.7.

There's no streaming yet. That should come next week. The facebo0k page is very active and full of praise. Link to it is here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/1019-DAWG-FM-Ottawas-Best-Friend/121255971234807?ref=ts

Poop...can't get it here. The local SRC signal on 102.1 is blasting it off the FM band. :-[

I've been looking forward to DAWG, because like you mimo, even though I'm not a HUGE fan of the blues, they are offering something unique to the Ottawa airwaves. Plus, Geoff Winters is back as a morning man!

Oh well, I'll just have to try it out on one of my numerous commutes to Ottawa.
