Ouch! (at latest WARQ, WMFX #'s)

What's going on over at Inner City's rock outlets? WARQ now is in the 2's and WMFX is in the 3's! I expected WARQ to keep falling, but WMFX? Does anyone see any changes to these stations? It would make sense for WARQ to flank WMFX by going active rock and playing AC/DC, Ozzy, Pantera, etc mixed in with the alternative.

Neil,

The Rock/Alternative format is dying across the board. R & R is heading towards combing the Rock and Alternative Charts again. There simply is not a lot of great rock/alt product out there, as the format is currently constituted. Stations are bailing out of the format as quick as they went in 13 years ago.

With no creative rock music out and everybody sounding the same rock and alt is very sleepy... Since we are on the subject of ratings though I have noticed that for a few books now WOIC has not showed up... I thought lib talk would do a little better in Columbia... CC

Talk is a sllooooooooow build format. It took Rush Limbaugh years to build up a sizeable audience.

But Rush is a broadcaster. From what I've heard, Air America is not good radio. It's talented people, like Al Franken, but he's not surrounded by enough radio people to make it work every day.
