I heard on Kiss 95.3 NH a promo for HD radio talking about how when you "subscribe to HD, you don't get any commercials and that's a good thing." It was promoting HEB HD Country music. I wonder how their advertisers will feel about that?? How is that a good thing for an already failing company (CC)?
 
Considering that one doesn't "subscribe" to HD, this is just another in a long line of deceptive, misleading and insulting promotions for HD.

Further, it's no wonder that radio sales departments are having such a difficult time. Listeners are being taught that commercials = BAD.

I'm going to guess that you are paraphrasing and they didn't use the word "subscribe".
 
my bad! I heard it again - you're right - didn't say subscribe. Just the same, and the point was made that they're promoting on a commercial station that advertising is bad and HD is an alternative so you don't have to listen to the commercials.
