We just wanted to let loved ones that we have not be able to reach that the staff of am 690 wtix evacuated the city tuesday evening. We were blessed to remain on the air until about 8:15 am monday morning and we are grateful that we survived and we pray that we were able to help others escape the storm. We are in Houston so if loved ones need to contact us please call the sheraton (bush airport). Our prays and thoughts are with everyone as we all continue to recover from the things we have gone through.

As a kid, I listened to WTIX, when i stayed many summers with my grandmother in Buna, Texas. Big TIX blazed it's way through there at night. I listened with visions of New Orleans. It was a rockin 'n rollin giant. Welcome to Texas guys. We pray you won't have to stay long. I know your home will be blessed, and you will return to broadcast again.
