Earlier today, Dave was still on the KIOL web site...NOW later in the afternoon, he is GONE and GreaseMonkey's pic and bio is up....Guess that tells a lot right there...DAMN!! I was wondering what happened to Locke..but then I was never a fan of him....but Outlaw Dave???

I agree with you about W&J, they have egos MUCH bigger than their show is good. However, I have a feeling that Cumulus may very well flip 103.7 to Talk around W&J. I agree it does not make sense with the glut of Talk stations in Houston. I would not be surprised to see the KFNC Talk line-up moved over to 103.7, even though KFNC is at the bottom of the ratings of the Talk stations that show up in the ratings. KTRH is 1st with a three way tie for 10th just over a 3 rating (12+) and KPRC is 2nd with a rating slightly under 3 rating (12+) in 15th place. Jim Pruett and company could move back to afternoons and the rest of the day and night with the current fare on KFNC.

Back to the current KIOL situation, Lisa Kendall made the comment this evening that The Grease Munkey was sitting in. Sitting in for who? It definitely looks like Outlaw Dave is no longer with 103-7.

I wonder what day next week Wendy Miller is no longer on the air and Pam Kelly is "sitting in", if she can fit it in her schedule with Metro, where I believe she works during the weekdays. Pam is still doing weekends at 103-7.

I don't think the Classic Rock format has much longer to run on 103-7 and will be gone with in a month.

It could be ESPN 97.5 and the 97.5 Talk programming moved to 103.7. It would make more sense if this were to happen to put the ESPN Sports on the much better 103-7 signal though.

Even though the KFNC ratings are lower than KIOL's, although less than a point (12+), KFNC may be doing better in sales than Rock 103-7 and their ads for titty bars and adult bookstores.

I could hear the panic in Wendy's show yesterday. Almost every phone call she played had people telling her they loved her, loved her show, and listened all the time. She seemed to be over compensating. She sounded stressed. It's only a matter of time before they send her on her way as well.

Strange, CW. I checked to see if I had whitelisted anything on Firefox's Adblock, but that wasn't it. (I'm using the "Fasterfox" extension, but it acted like "Fox on Crack." I hear they're beta testing that...NAH!)

Anyway, it spoke to me. Rock 103.7: *poof* soon to be a memory.

Look at KIOL's numbers! Who listens to the station long enough to actually notice? ;D

In all actuality, it's about over for the KLOL copycat. I seem to remember Mike O saying by the second fall book '06....I said it would be the spring '07 book pt. 1. Anyone else care to take a stab at it? Watch and see...Outlaw Dave on KLDE....er, uh KHTC in a matter of months. (Damn! That just doesn't sound right calling 107.5 anything but KLDE.)
