Outsiders view on LA Rock stations..

I made the post a week and a half or so ago asking what the best rock stations in Louisiana were and now that the trips over i wanted to report back. I personally like active rock stations alot more than alternative and classic, so for me, KKND 106.7 in New Orleans was the best overall that i heard. 97.9 in Bilouxi was good too. The CC station in B.R. was ok, but nothing to unique. One thing i noticed is that almost every station between Texas and Miami that I listened to had the Lex & Terry show on in the morning. KXCS in College station just got it and id never heard of them, i guess its big in the south. Ill have to listen sometime.

CC doesn't have a rocker in Baton Rouge. If you got the frequency we can tell you what and who. (Only CC rockers along i-10 are Classic rock 99.5 WRNO new Orleans and you can catch KZMZ, another classic rocker from Alexandria on 96.9)

We lost the last active rocker in South Louisiana about 3 months ago (KOOJ 93.7 Baton Rouge who had , yep Lex and Terry mornings). Most now are alternatives that play more mainstream new rock (artist that cross on the rock/active/alternative such as puddle of mudd) than are true alternatives.

Lex and Terry is basically the morning team if you have a active/alternative in the south it seems (as some of the other morning shows commonly used head more classic). But If you had stayed and heard the KKND 106.7 the end morning show, you would have put it right there with Lex and Terry on the scale of the things they do and say IMO.

RFLA

Its 104.5 in baton rouge, for some reason i thought it was cc. And after looking at the lex and terry affiliates you are definatly right, the state of florida is prety much nothing but lex and terry on rock stations.

1045 and 1049 the x..guaranty broadcasting. its a pretty good station but they play too much light alternative and too much 90s rock. but you can hear marilyn manson and slipknot..so it aint all bad :)
