What do you guys think Vegas would put the over/under on the train WReck of New Orleans?
If it's 12 months, I gotta say I'd put my money on the under.
The morning people and the dude at night seem to be contriving ways to cuss on the air.
Didn't B97 try this for about two weeks in the '90's?
 
Well, that midday show they have now might keep them in talk for a while now, don't you think?

You're probably right. It's just that the two local shows are so bad.
And no, I don't think they'd have interest in Wilkerson.
He was pretty good with the Saints, but that was the only "bullet in his gun." That said, their move letting the Hornets go (how silly does THAT move look now?)proves that 'rno has no interest in sports.
So, is the over/under 2 years? Rush seemed done 2 years ago so whatever lift they get in the ratings should be minimal I think.

People keep saying this, but I just don't believe it. Even after Katrina, he was STILL the highest rated show on WWL (oh nos! The local talent isn't driving that station!). The latest study shows his listeners are just as dedicated - and he's still the highest rated talk show host out there.
 
Glenn Beck, Rush, Hannity, and even the little screamer Levin will pull some numbers for RNO. They are already getting new advertisers on the air. They'll get up in the 4s and then pull back. They'll never be competitive with WWL until they figure out AM and PM Drive and give us Local Talk from Locals.

In the immortal words of John Osterlind this afternoon (Wednesday) "That's a fact, Jack!". I promise, no more Osterlind quotes in the future until he goes back to bartending.
