Overcomer Ministry ending radio broadcasts

On the shortwave bands themselves, from my location in Los Angeles at least, I'm hearing him on, and only on, WTWW. But the audio has been distorted frequently, as if somebody had an equalizer's 250 Hz slider pumped all the way up into gross clipping.
I suspect WTWW offered a rock bottom airtime rate to keep the Overcomer broadcasts.

I have no idea of what WTWW’s long range plan is…it seems to be a station that has no point in being on the air. Its recent operations have been a long list of transmitter breakdowns and repairs, all while scrounging for parts to keep 40 year old units going. I don’t see how they make any money.

If we have nuclear world war three, it will always be the last generation.

Who is still hearing him on the air, incidentally? Are the AM stations previously noted here as still broadcasting him post-shortwave shutdown still carrying his feed? Quick SDR check: He's still on WWCS, Pittsburgh, not on WEW, St. Louis

Hes gone from Spaceline Bulgaria, was the primary occupant of the 5900 frequency.. KSKO had been bookended by Stair on 5900 when we were on 21-22UT Fridays. Spaceline is going to figure out how and where to put us. Someone else other than me or the station pays for the airtime and we got a bargain basement rate since we took 5900 year round and because it was using a transmitter and antenna already in use.

As of 10am CT, Overcomer Ministry is still being aired on WEW. Yesterday, late afternoon, they were airing a Conservative talk show. So maybe Overcomer is being aired just part time.

BTW, sll the Birach stations are streaming on the 'Simple Radio' app. Including WPON Detroit, which plays rare Oldies.

Wow - just tuned in to WPON now and yowza! Their automation could use some adjustment but the music selection has been pretty doggone enjoyable thus far!

It appears they also did not eliminate their Ku-band satellite feed. I just noticed this person's scan of Galaxy 19 on July 17, well after the official shutdown date, and the Overcomer feed showed up alive and well. See 6:45 in:

The Overcomer broadcasts are reported to have returned to 5900 kHz from Spaceline Bulgaria, confirmed by a check via the UTwente SDR. I suspect Spaceline may have offered a rock bottom airtime rate to keep a little money flowing in. Same suspicion for the Overcomer broadcasts on WTWW.

Wonder what this means for any resumption of the Friday KSKO broadcasts on shortwave. SRG?

As soon as i hear more, ill share here..... :) We got 5900 because the person paying for our air time got a rock bottom rate because it was a transmitter already in use so much and in many cases on the stations Stairs people buy time, if someone comes along and wants the time and pays mroe, stair gets pre empted.

If Stair's people stay on 5900, KSKO will likely end up back there in its old time slow, 21-22 UTC Fridays

Has anyone mentioned Stairway To Heaven yet?

I can't think of any good one liners, but I think simply mentioning it is probably enough :ROFLMAO:

Since his airtime overrides Stair's, maybe @SomeRadioGuy can play it first thing during his next shortwave broadcast. If he's not afraid of getting the station's antenna hit by lightning, anyway.
I can imagine someone tuning into that KSKO broadcast playing Stairway to Heaven, while watching reruns of the 80s TV series Highway to Heaven; Highway to Heaven doesn't have stairs in it, but it Overcomes that problem by also having the word "Heaven," which covers the religious angle and, obliquely, manages to remain Relevant :)

If I Stare at this long enough, all sorts of goofy one liners start coming out!

After this, it might be a good idea to invest in a good lightning rod or two.
