Overnights at WPOI

Any insiders know why suddenly WPOI has an overnight jock? I presumed VT'ed, but still I have no recall of Cox doing anybody overnights in the past 8 years . This voice sounds a bit more seasoned than the "college guys" they use all day. If Cox wants an overnight guy on their cluster, why WPOI? Also, Kevin Connors is on Magic at 5AM on Saturday morning
taking calls". What gives?
 
To make this even more exciting, he pretended to hand off to Joe Elliot at 5:30 AM, even though they never actually spoke to each other. Any ideas why Cox is doing this ? I thought robojocks were better than even VT'ing somebody. Maybe it's because the Point is gone in Jacksonville, so they have any extra guy to VT? Or is it Shark? It was just a shock to wake up at 4AM and hear a guy on ther Point talking about the artists .
 
Very often stations let a new person do a shift or two overnight to get used to the studio before they take over whatever their real shift during the day is going to be.
 
This guy sounds like a mature seasoned DJ. What possible scenario from a parallel universe would induce COX to hire somebody like that?
 
...Or maybe they're preparing to pull the plug on The Point (just like they did in Jacksonville) and someone is getting a feel of the studio and equipment. How do you know if he was "live" anyway? If you do voicetracking correctly, you shouldn't be able to tell if the jock is really there or not. Maybe this guy is just good.
 
I assumed he was probably VT'ed. It's just that COX seems to prefer HAL overnights than even a semblence of a personality. What would it flip to? In JAX, it flipped to THE X which Tampa already has. Any thoughts? The idea it might be innovative again seems totally out of character.

Possibly Urban AC as that is a hole in this market on FM and COX is doing it in Orlando.

The overnight guy on the Point seems to be gone. :'(

If I were that guy and read about some mad woman ;D talking about roasted spiders and chicken testicles on a stick I would get the hell out of town too!! (with tongue planted firmly in cheek ;)
