Overnights in LA?

I am sure DavidEduardo will be able to answer this, but I will put it up for anyone to answer if you can.

What affect did PPM have on the overnight numbers? I know I read somewhere that panelists on the PPM panel have to dock their meters for charging and uploading each night, so I wonder what it's done to the overnight numbers.

That's all.

Also, David, I noticed you've changed your tune about 97.1 flipping. I thought you were pretty sure it was going to happen, and now you say they won't do the KNX/97.1 simulcast. What changed your mind?

Since most overnight numbers come from people who work non-daytime jobs, or get up very early or go to bed very late, the docking will occur at "bedtime" by their schedule, and that is when the meter will dock. I will run the numbers and see if anything is very different.

Thanks for bringing this up... I have not looked at overnights in the PPM, and it may be interesting.

I am pretty convinced the cluster wants to go after kISS and its $60 million in revenue (well, it was that in '07... probably 8% to 10% less in '08). But in today's economy it may be impossible to give up the billing of KLSX, which is still substantial.

David,

No doubt Roy (isn't that "the cluster") covets KIIS' billing. Isn't his wife partly responsible...?

Anyway, for those of you keeping score at home, KIIS did over $65 million in total cash billing in 2007 and through August 2008 is up over 7% for the year to date. Again, for those of you keeping score, KIIS is outbilling KLVE by over $20 million so far this year.

We never did know what Roy's KDAY was billing because they chose not to "report"...knowing Roy, he had nothing to brag about.

So, heck yeah, Roy covets KIIS's billing...ps...KROQ is DOWN over 13% YTD...

Right now, AMP Radio seems to be CBS' pet lab rat. They are taking advantage of the HD-2 signal to use whatever listeners they have (mostly online I suspect at this point) to experiment, tweak, and just generally play around with this new potential brand. Their hope of course is to graduate this 'child' to an HD-1 signal (be it 97.1 or something else) and be ready to go after KISS and their money and audiance right out of the gate.

I really hope someone goes after kiss i hate what they did to the station going more rhythmic back in 2004!!!Kiss is really bad and needs to be taught a lesson shame on you cc for ruining kiss!!!
