OWN Network Launch Schedule

Here is a partial schedule of programs for the new Oprah Winfrey-branded cable network, which will debut on New Year's Day 2011:

It says that Ryan and Tatum O'Neal and The Judds are going to have their own shows on the new network. It doesn't say as much, but I've got a feeling that they're reality shows.

It looks like at least half of their programs have Opra in them. It will be interesting to see if women can take her for 8 hours a day. The schedule looks WEAK to me.

What's the over/under on when OWN becomes just another cable outlet that airs The Golden Girls, Designing Women, Kate & Ally and Maude ad nauseam dead horseum?

Will it try to top Lifetime in it's She-Woman Man Haters Club made for tv movies?

Where is Discovery going to put their health shows? As Discovery Health is really the only health channel on cable.

Most men hate those movies but I enjoy them when they come to broadcast TV. Especially if the women are good-looking.

Oprah, on the other hand, I got sick of many years ago.

I give it until Memorial Day, at which point they'll probably add one of the above shows and debut them in mandatory marathon form...

I think some of the Discovery Health shows might find a home on FitTV, as Discovery also owns it.

I think Discovery should use a different network to put OWN on. Or is Discovery Health their least performing channel?
