Ozzy Osbourne dies at 76

What can you say about Ozzy Osbourne? Besides the guy who made Metal respectable to the very American Establishment that once put down Heavy Metal music (and him personally) as satanic and questionable lyrically.

That alone is amazing.

He's personally known and worked with everybody from Lemmy (legendary Motorhead frontman) to Pat Boone. Who all loved him.

Right until the end, Ozzy was still going. And 30 years longer than his "retirement" in 1991 after 20 years.

He was also a truly underrated comic, One one episode of The Osbournes, Kelly were loudly arguing back and forth with Sharon about going to see a gynecologist.

Then out of the blue, Ozzy mumbles "Well I'll go.....I feel like a c--t, I'll go. I don't mind....."

RIP Ozzy. Heavy Metal has lost a pioneer, innovator, statesman and it's most powerful voice.

I remember when Ozzy Osborne returned to the spotlight on the TV Series the Osbornes in the 2000's. That was the show that got the rest of the family in the spotlight. RIP to a musician and TV Star.

Should Q104.3 do a tribute to all songs of Ozzy Osbourne with Mainstream Rock Billboard charts very importantly for everybody because fans in NYC, the US and the UK mourns the loss for him.

I heard about Ozzy's death while working today. I have no words.

Prayers and condolences to Jack, Sharon, Kelly and the rest of the Osbourne family.

RIP and rock on in the skies, you legend :cry::cry:

They were like all Ozzy from 2 to 6PM and then maybe three songs an hour of either Ozzy or Black Sabbath.

Someone I went to church with as a teenager said he was mistaken for Ozzy back in the day. He has played in rock bands and even suggested maybe an Ozzy cover band is in his future.

The part of Ozzy's life that floored me was learning where he bit off the head of a bat: Des Moines. Yes, stable, sedate, insurance-company dominated Des Moines. If I had known it at the time, I must have forgotten it since.

Steve Bridges has said on air that he was working that show and Ozzy didn’t bite the head off a bat at all, and he and Ozzy went out to eat after the show.

"Wait! Wait!" claimed the bat story really happened, and after talking about Ozzy for a while played a big band song. Usually when they play a few seconds of a song, it is related to the previous story.

This was something I wasn't expecting. I guess if Alice Cooper can be who he is, so can Ozzy.
