p.15 simulcasting

I was wondering if there is a way to simulcast p.15 fm transmitters together (daisy chain).
My friend and I want to start a small network of transmitters in our neiborhood. What I am trying to do is to somehow get the audio feed from my studio to his house which is about two blocks away. Is there a practical way to get say the feed from my computer to his? ...without having to use internet. Any ideas would be great. Our initial goal is to try and get the stations audio feed to reach to his house... After we can find someway of getting the audio to his house... we would then like to be able to add another p.15 transmitter..so that the area around his house would receive the main stations signal.
I hope this made sense. Any tips or advice on how to go about this would be great!

A little more information would help. How far is "two blocks"? Where I live that is about .2 miles. Is it line of sight?

I attended a seminar a few years ago where spread spectrum devices were discussed. These unit are used in traffic monitoring and control and essentially transmit anything that you put in: audio, video, telemetry. As I understand the subject they can be both licensed and unlicensed depending on the power involved. You might try searching using spread spectrum, security links, unlicensed data links, or other keywords on this topic.

The easiest way would be for your friend to pick up your FM station and rebroadcast it from his house on another frequency, but that would require the addtional frequency, there aren't too many open frequencies in my area so that may prove to be difficult at best for you. Your friend's station would be your translator. ;-) If you do go the 2.4 GHz route, look for devices with external antennas. Keep in mind, it may be illegal to amplify a transmitter but no where does the FCC limit how much a receive antenna can be amplified.

For mono, you could use a Plug-On Transmitter like the following,

That is for the transmitter only, a receiver will cost more. Keep in mind, the microphone acts like the other half of the antenna so you may need to ground the transmitter's case. Wouldn't hurt to put it in a weather proof box. Remotely powering it would be a must.

I am doing the complete opposite.. Broadcasting to my AM xmtr from an FM xmtr.

The AM to the FM would give you the distance but you would lose some quality.<P ID="signature">______________
