P&K leaving DFW?

Pugs keeps posting on his Facebook page that Pugs & Kelly should do mornings on The Loop. Does this mean they are leaving DFW? I hope not, I am one if the few that enjoys their show!

The LOOP?

You're kidding, right?

And if you are "one of the few" who listen to them, is what they do truly BROADcasting?

Not trying to be an *ss, but I read this thread title and immediately thought, "they are still here?"

Bye Bye P&K! ;D

What is The Loop?

It's were they were in Chicago before 105.3 hired them, WLUP..

Kelly was Danny Bonaduce's "producer" there many years ago, Pugs also worked there (off air). They have never had a daily show in Chicago, only weekend minimum wage stuff when no one was listening. The Loop (WLUP/Chicago) has zero interest in them, just like every other major market station. That is why they work for next to nothing on 1360AM. Their dream is to be accepted as legitimate talent in Chicago, but it's not going to happen. They have never produced decent ratings other than the overrun from the end of Howard Stern when they were at 105.3.
Remember, the only reason they got a job on 105.3 is because they sued the CBS station in Chicago where they worked off-air because their conversations were recorded without them knowing it. The settlement was they got a job in Dallas.

I am sure that the Chicago audience would enjoy having the TV guide read to them an outstanding achievement in broadcasting.
1360 AM - the launching pad???

Did Kelly ever get knocked up???
When they were on the Bone, she kept "reminding" everyone whenever the music wasn't playing.

Well, I admit I wasn't the biggest fan of P&K at 105.3. I kept them on at my desk after Howard just for background noise. However, I never totally disliked them as they did have funny and interesting moments. I turned 105.3 off once Russ came on though. Now, given the even more dismal state of DFW radio, I listen to P&K and Dick Hunter daily and really enjoy them. 105.3 is off my dial now that Jagger's show has gotten unlistenable and since I'm far from conservative and am a sports fan but don't want to talk sports all day, 1360 fills my at-work-talk-radio fix. I've even bought some gift certificates from that Radio Shopping Show. Face it, DFW radio has become god awful and if anyone finds a station that can keep them listening all day, be thankful. Long live AM1360. :)

Sybil's laugh is like fingernails down a chalkboard...

I too listen to P&K and Richard Hunter at work daily on 1360 and didn't when they were on 105.3 and I totally agree about Jagger's show. I stopped listening too.

Oh, yeah, your right... I'm sorry. I did see where 1360 ratings...um....I mean.. oops. They DON'T HAVE ANY!.

...Shemp was Danny's producer at WLUP, and Kelly was an assistant. They were on-air weekends at WCKG when (the now deservedly unemployed) Steve Dull wiretapped them on station property because he was paranoid about their making disparaging comments about him off-mic during their show. Interesting how so many people who got out from under unconvicted felon Dull's wide shadow -- Garry Meier, P&K, Bonaduce, even Howard Stern (who carried WCKG single-handedly like he did KLLI; neither one survived his move to Sirius) -- are all working and Stever can't find a gig in the #3 market that he once allegedly "owned"...
