Pacific Recorders & Engineering Radio Mixer RMX 20 (early 1990's)

Does anyone have a photo of one of these please? I have searched online, but have not had much luck.

On Paul Thurst's EngineeringRadio.us blog there's an entry discussing the BMXII console. The most recent post in that blog entry was made by a engineer who appears to have one available. He couldn't upload his pix but maybe he'll email it to you.

Thanks,
I recently obtained one of these and would like to get some history on them as well.

I know of a radio group in Santa Barbara that has 5 of them. Rincon Radio are the owner and Ran Bullard and Doug Allen is their engineers, call them at (805) 879-8300 they are proud of their upkeep. Also Bob Moore at mooretronix.com refurbishes them.

I'm very familiar with these consoles and the first batch used Penny & Giles faders but were quickly changed to a more durable and to be blunt cheaper to replace than rebuild brand from Japan. There weren't that many with the P&G and I believe the modules were replaced for those customers. Other than that there were little changes to the console since it's debut in 1990 and eventual cancellation by Harris in the early 2000s. The built in clock confounds some if they don't have the original magnet used to set it from the plexiglass cover. If you had the ESE Master clock this was not an issue. One little piece of information here is the console uses VCAs from Aphex.

In my experience I really loved the Telco module and split cue for the board ops headphones. It was a very good sounding, capable and durable console.
