Not like this is the biggest concern for KGOW right now, but oh by the way, your TOH ID is illegal.

"KGOW. AM 1560 Bellaire, Texas The Game". Uh uh. Try again. I do like the fact that they only ID Bellaire as COL, though. Shows that old timey touch. Again, not the biggest problem the station is facing currently, but you know the purplenerd..I mean devil. I've got to notice these things.

Anyone near Pasadena or in South Houston that can hear the simulcast KLVL/KGOW ID notice any discrepancies? Can't get either station this far north overnight.

And if the only thing they got wrong was putting AM on the callsign, I doubt the FCC will do anything...
Otherwise, the rest of the ID is ok...

Examine the following:

KGOW-AM 1560, Bellaire, Texas
KGOW, AM 1560, Bellaire, Texas

The first example would indeed be correct. However, the second one MAY not be incorrect. The difference, of course, is in the punctuation.

Neither are correct....AMs do NOT use the AM suffix....only FMs.....its callsign is KGOW...not KGOW-AM...

The second is not legal in any way; the mode is not part of the ID....the channel according to Part 73 of the FCC rules is 1560, not AM 1560...

Sorry but the LEGAL ID would be KGOW Bellaire OR KGOW 1560 Bellaire....and thats it. Anything else may be added AFTER the COL only.

It's amazing what a typo can do. I meant to type "incorrect." If one was to go back and find previous posts on this same subject, one would find that I know this and have posted as such. The other example I stated, included in caps, "MAY." I wrote it that way to elicit a response.
