Panama City: WKGC (AM) to Hale.

The FCC filing appears to indicate the $5,000 sale included all the equipment. Perhaps Mr. Wooten can give us an update on the damage this station took from Hurricane Michael? The studios and tower are/were located on school property, so those must not have be included a sale.

Just what we need, another potential sports station. If it were me, I'd try to go back to the days of Genie Radio and play music from the fifties and sixties, though sadly I'd imagine its ratings wouldn't fare well.

I think your guess is right.....I know that they have to do a bid on disposal of property.....I don't know for sure but it makes sense to me....I don't get the local newspaper anymore so if it was advertised as a legal notice I wouldn't have seen it. I'm positive however the college disposed of it, it was 100% legal

I understand that Hale has a translator lined up to rebroadcast 1480. And that he's not absolutely locked down to putting his Ticket sports format on the signal. Stay tuned.
