Panasonic RF-7180

Well...I don't really know where to post this, but I've brought home yet another vintage radio (to my wife's consternation...once she finds out ). It's a Panasonic RF-7180, a predecessor to the boom-box, for sure. What have I actually gotten myself in to? Can any one fill me in on this beast?

There's one on eBay right now, with an asking price of $150 (of course I've paid much, much less for my example).

Excellent purchase. One never knows when 8 Track will make its big comeback.

When (if?) you finally get around to telling her, I'm thinking P. T. Barnum's famous statement may be the first thing that pops into your wife's brain.

LOL! She does think it's cool, but honestly, I don't even know where to set it up. For a portable, it's quite the monster.
