pandora is a bust....have to listen at the computer or on a tinny cell phone...then the upgrade 3G and internet package..splotchy coverage at best...pay extra for the premium and then be a contortionist to figure out how to get the cell into the car..dial up pandora...have the internet feed cut in and out...tinny "streaming" sound...ya got a be a masochist!@##$@! XM/Sirius is the only way to go..clear digital stereo from Aruba to Alaska...tons of non commercial music channelsw to suit every taste...plus compelling talk shows, news, comedy, old radio shows etc...all for under $13 a month...no contest!

Last year, the 10-year old Pandora company recorded its first profitable quarter, doubled its subscription base to more than 40 million users and took in $50 million of revenue.

Pandora's Easy Listening format has the sound that I was trying to create with Big Radio (replies 2,8,9,etc)
I've deleted Big Radio.

I've tried Pandora, and found it pretty interesting, for a while. But, and it must be the radio geek in me, unless I am listening to broadcast radio I just don't feel 'plugged in'.
But, if I DO want music that's not available to me on the regular radio, I just carry an I-Pod, or bring a few CD's. Simpler, easier, and in the case of CD's, far better sound.

The best Easy Listening/Beautiful Music (for song choices & sound quality) on the internet (that I know of so far) is Crystal Radio Canada. (DeltaDon on the Easy Listening Discussion Board posted a live link to it.) I don't know how to post a live link on here but if you Google "Crystal Radio Canada" it will be the first thing that pops up.

My car radio has an SD card slot, so I loaded up a 4gb card and that's my travel music. I duplicated it for my BlackBerry. Far easier than CDs, and better for those times when Pandora doesn't come in well. But if you have a wi-fi connection, Pandora sounds really good. And I like the "quick mix" option - I set up about eight stations (everything from Paul Mauriot to Kansas) and when I hit the "quick mix" option I have quite the eclectic selection.
