The article says Pappas has over two dozen stations. Your only listed 13. The only Pappas station that I'm familiar with is WLGA channel 66 in Auburn, Alabama and it was left off your list. Can anyone fill in the rest of the Pappas stations?

Poledo, Mark only listed the stations affected by the bankruptcy. You can find a list of all the stations here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pappas_Telecasting
Thanks for the correction and the link. I stumbled in my post because even though Pappas only filed for bankruptcy for 13 of the stations the article suggest that "all the stations in the group are on the block."
I assume that all the stations will wind up being sold at fire sale prices.
I can see a potential buyer for the one station I mentioned, channel 66 in Auburn. Recently the University of Alabama and University of Georgia have purchased full power commercial stations, that were in financial trouble, with the intention of continuing to run them as commercial stations. They would save money by using facilities on campus and having students to do all the work they could.
Since Alabama has a statewide PBS network, Auburn doesn't have a television outlet. Channel 66 in Auburn would be make a nice addition to Auburn University giving them a place to broadcast sports and other student oriented shows. I also like the idea that the University of Georgia is exploring with their new independent station, WNEG, of creating a "superstation" and seeking cable and satellite carriage statewide. If Auburn was able to acquire channel 66 from Pappas, creating an Auburn Superstation carried all over Alabama would be cool.

I heard KREN 27 Reno is now Spanish. Since Entravision brought the station for $4 million.

Can anybody confirm this?

Actually, the $4 million that Entravision put down serves as a minimum bid, as the station will be up for auction later this year. If no one beats that bid, the station's all Entravision's.

Also, far as I know, it's still CW. And while most of Entravision's stations are Spanish, it has a few English stations under its belt, including KSFE in Brownsville (CW) and WJAL in Hagerstown, MD (an indie), as well as operates Mexican English stations XHRIO (Fox), XHDTV (MNTv) and, of course, XETV (CW).
