Paramore, Alicia Keys

I see that Paramore-The Only Exception has recently entered the AC chart. Since AC likes to play CHR crossovers this is a great song for the format. Not only is it familiar from CHR airplay, it actually SOUNDS AC. Much more so than "California Gurls" (I'm surprised it's top 10 AC) or Jason Derulo who so far is ahead of Paramore on the AC chart.

AC never played Alicia Keys-Unthinkable and I guess never will. Too bad, it's a great ballad and it sounds more AC to me than "No One" which many ACs have in their library.

Thankfully, CA Gurls has moved down the chart a little bit. There is a lot of better stuff ahead of it, there really is no reason to play it.

Given how the chart works, maybe we'll hear the Paramore song in a year ::)

Are any AC's worth a flip even playing Jason DeRulo? There are a lot of good songs on the chart that unfortunately probably won't become hits or get much airplay, unfortunately.

I heard the AC station play Jason Derulo a few nights ago and I though, WTF? I can definitely see "The Only Exception" being on AC. It's perfect for the format.

I know what you mean about "Unthinkable." Did her record label even promote that song to AC? Instead AC got her solo version of "Empire State of Mind," which didn't do much business (though I do like it).
