Paramount Plus to stream UEFA Champions League games in U.K., Ireland

Contract starts in 2027 for Paramount to air UEFA games.

Paramount Global has secured the exclusive streaming rights to UEFA Champions League games offered in the United Kingdom, starting with the 2027 season.

The games will move to Paramount Plus from TNT Sports, which has offered the games on their channel (previously known as BT Sport) for several years. TNT Sports owner Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) is currently in the process of reviewing acquisition bids, including a formal offer made by Paramount last week.

Paramount’s deal will run through the 2031 season. The domestic TV rights deal is valued at more than $11.5 billion. Paramount already offers UEFA Champions League games in the United States through Paramount Plus under a separate media rights deal with the sports franchise.
